The subclass 485 visa, or Temporary Graduate visa, allows international students to live, study and work in Australia temporarily after graduation.

There are two main streams under the subclass 485 graduate visa. The stream you choose will depend on the course you have complete so it is important that you apply for the right visa.

Temporary Graduate Visa Eligibility:

To apply for the subclass 485 graduate visa, you must:

• Be under 35 years of age unless you meet the requirements allowing you to be up to the age of 50 at the time you apply

• Hold an eligible Australian student visa within the past 6 months

• Have completed a course registered on CRICOS that is at least 2 academic years in duration

• Meet the English language requirement

• Hold adequate health insurance

• Satisfy health and character checks
